Apparently, a Texas based atheist group has the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals siding with them that the road side crosses (14 in total) erected in memory of police killed in the line of duty in Utah, must be taken down as they comprise a compromise to the separation of church and state definition believed by court weirdos. The same court weirdos who stand silent as our federal government spends tax payer money to rebuild mosques around the world. Crosses along side the road mean little to me even as a Jew who may be circumcised means little to God unless of course, that circumcision is of the heart also.
Atheists...to hell you say...oops, I mean to hell with you, I say. I need to have atheists out there help me understand who you are because the last I heard, and since God's Word is true and unchanging the potential for you to be saved is in your control.
Like homosexuals and probably abortionists, I am sure many people profess themselves to be atheists because someone close to them, someone in their sphere of influence has them convinced that is the way to be. For example, I have a sister, and my family was all raised Catholic (I did not say Christian), who had a son Michael, my nephew, who died of HIV/Aids....yes, he was a homosexual. For years after that point, my sister wanted to argue that homosexuality was fine with God that Michael had a potential to be saved even though he died in his sin.
I am sure there are plenty of people out there who support the idea of abortion because their momma, their sisters or someone else close had an abortion and are supportive of that person. Does anyone really think this is a good reason not to use your own mind, to seek the truth and to live or die by that?
Back to atheists...so some of you have had bad influences. Still others of you feel like you have had a bad experience in one man-made religion or another and that has turned you off to religion and therefore God. To you I would say, read what God tells the 7 churches in Revelations....he is well aware of the fact that many religions lead people in the wrong direction and will not find their place in eternity....except perhaps, eternal judgment. Everyone needs to remember this...religion, all of them are man's way of trying to reach God while Jesus Christ was God's way of trying to reach man. To know God in His divinity and in humanity, as the man Christ Jesus read his Word because like I said already, his Word is inerrant and never changes. Kind of gives you something, an anchor if you will, that is always there for you until of course Obama and his ilk try to remove it from your homes and your hands. And trust me on this...somewhere along the way, they will try this. Of course, you can always bury the Word in your heart.
If you feel like you have been offended by some church person or some religion, get over it....quit being a mamby-pamby mama's boy as it is you who will die and then face judgment and no one will be there to defend you although Satan will be there to remind God of every little wrong thing you did.
I additionally believe that the vast multitude of atheists and agnostics (those who purportedly accept some of the truth), are the way they are because their sins are dark, they are having a boat load of fun and simply refuse to come to the light that is Jesus Christ. They have no desire to repent, turn from their sins and be declared righteous because they believe in their hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead and they confess Jesus with their mouths as their Saviour. Romans, chapter 10 tells us that 'with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." These words are in verses 8-10.
Some atheists are probably just headstrong and want to be confronted like Saul was while he traveled the road to Damascus...Jesus stopped Saul in his tracks as he was going after more new Christians to persecute, blinded him, and asked him, "Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?" in Acts 9:4. Bottom line here is that after this experience Saul was sent on his way, another saint was told to visit him and to restore his sight and after that Saul became Paul the Apostle....one of my favorites. Please, atheists, do not expect a hands-on experience like this..you have God's Word like Saul never did and as you might read in Hebrews 11:6, "But without faith is is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Do not expect your salvation to fall in your lap today. You were born a free moral agent with free will to accept or deny the living God. Do not blame others for your shortcomings.
Whichever category you fall in atheists, like Christ would tell you...."It is I you persecute". Quit being foolish as you do not offend me but the offense is to your own eternal souls.

Nice article. It's a sticky situation when you are trying to please everyone. Personally, I think that the cross is soo iconic, that it symbolizes much more than the "christian" religion and it is a shame that the athiests are having them removed. If you ever get around to it, check out my blog "Conscientious Equity."
