Michael Steele and the GOP can be part of the house cleaning that is taking place in the party and the movement towards true conservatism or he and they can fall by the way side.
Conservatives, ala Doug Hoffman,in NY district 23 is running as a neck and neck contender with the liberal, democratic opponent while the liberal republican opponent, trailing badly to both dropped out of the race. The GOP backed the liberal republican who supported abortions and gay marriages. The GOP cannot claim victories by conservatives but can gain some dividends if they clean up their own house and quit trying to expand the republican base by including abortionists and gays. If, once these people get in congress, all look alike in that regard, who will protect the innocent unborn children when it comes time to voting for a new supreme court nominee ala Sotomayor who is most definitely pro-choice. Anti-life, in otherwords.

Senator Lugar, you are in jeopardy as you have backed the formulation of Obama's czardom and Cass Sunstein was the last straw.
